Antalya Airport Map & Terminal Guide 2026
Three terminals, two separated buildings, 229 destinations. Everything you need to navigate Antalya Airport (AYT) — the gateway to Turkey’s Mediterranean coast and one of Europe’s busiest holiday airports.
Antalya Airport Map
The Antalya Airport map below covers the full layout of Antalya Airport (AYT/LTAI), located 13 km northeast of Antalya city centre on Turkey’s Mediterranean coast. AYT handled over 39 million passengers in 2025 after completing a major expansion in April of that year, making it Turkey’s third busiest airport and the leading holiday gateway on the Mediterranean. The airport is operated by Fraport TAV, a joint venture between Germany’s Fraport AG and Turkey’s TAV Airports Holding.
As the Antalya Airport map shows, the layout is split between two separate building complexes roughly 1 km apart. The north complex houses Terminal 1 (international, mainly summer) and the Domestic Terminal side by side in a single building. Terminal 2, the main year-round international terminal, sits to the south as a standalone building. A free inter-terminal shuttle bus links the two sites. Study the AYT airport map carefully before you travel so you know which building your airline uses.

Antalya Airport Location Map
Antalya Airport sits approximately 13 km northeast of Antalya city centre in the Muratpaşa district. The interactive map below shows AYT’s position relative to the city, the Turkish Riviera coastline, and the D400 coastal highway that connects the airport to Lara, the city centre and resort towns stretching east toward Belek and Side. The airport is accessible directly from the D400 eastbound.
Antalya Airport Terminals
Antalya Airport has three passenger terminals. This is the single most important thing to understand before you travel through AYT: Terminal 1 and the Domestic Terminal share one building on the north side of the airfield, while Terminal 2 is a completely separate building about 1 km to the south. If your airline uses Terminal 2 and you arrive at the Terminal 1 building by mistake, you will need the inter-terminal shuttle to reach the right check-in area. Always confirm your terminal from your airline or booking confirmation.
Terminal 1 (International)
Terminal 1 is the older international terminal, attached to the Domestic Terminal in the north building. It operates primarily during the summer season (approximately April to October) and handles a mix of charter and scheduled carriers. Passengers flying with Terminal 1 airlines benefit from quick access to the AntRay tram stop, which sits directly outside the building.
The AntRay tram stop (Line T1) is directly outside Terminal 1, making this the most convenient terminal for passengers heading to Antalya city centre by public transport. During winter months Terminal 1 typically closes for international use; check with your airline.
Terminal 2 (International)
Terminal 2 is the main international terminal at Antalya Airport, handling the vast majority of international traffic year-round. After the April 2025 expansion, it is now one of the largest airport terminals in the Mediterranean region at 224,000 square metres. It sits roughly 1 km south of the Terminal 1 building and is not directly served by the AntRay tram, though a free shuttle bus links it to the tram stop at Terminal 1.
The expanded T2 now has 38 airbridges, tripled commercial floor space (33,000 sqm) and a flagship food hall anchored by the “Taste of Anatolia” restaurant from chef Ömür Akkor. The terminal operates on three levels: arrivals on the ground floor, departures on the upper floor.
Domestic Terminal
The Domestic Terminal handles all domestic flights within Turkey. It shares the north building with Terminal 1, accessible through internal connections or via its own separate entrance. After the 2025 expansion it covers 75,000 square metres, more than double its previous footprint. All Turkish domestic carriers operate here.
The domestic and T1 international sections of the north building are connected internally. The AntRay tram stop is outside, shared with Terminal 1. Free parking is available for 15 minutes at the Domestic Terminal drop-off zone.
Getting Between Terminals
Terminal 1 and the Domestic Terminal are connected inside the same building, so moving between them requires no shuttle. The distance between the north building (T1 / Domestic) and Terminal 2 is approximately 1 km. A free inter-terminal shuttle bus connects the two sites, running every 10 to 15 minutes. The journey takes 5 to 7 minutes. Note that if you are transferring between terminals on separate tickets you will need to re-clear security.
Antalya Airport Security
Each terminal at Antalya Airport has its own security checkpoint. Standard passport control applies to all international arrivals and departures. Although queues can appear long at peak times during the summer season, the wait is rarely more than 30 minutes according to passenger reports. Enhanced security processing was rolled out across all terminals ahead of the summer 2025 peak season as part of the expansion works.
Getting to Antalya Airport
Multiple transport options connect Antalya Airport to the city centre and resort areas. The AntRay tram is the cheapest and most reliable option for reaching the city. Taxi and Uber are the most practical for resort towns and late night arrivals. Check the official airport website at antalya-airport.aero for the latest transport information.
AntRay Tram (Line T1)
The AntRay tram is a light rail line that connects the airport directly to Antalya city centre. The tram stop is outside the Terminal 1 / Domestic Terminal building. Trams run from approximately 06:00 to midnight, every 10 to 20 minutes, with a journey time of roughly 30 minutes to the city centre. The fare is 27 to 33 Turkish Lira depending on payment method. Passengers arriving at Terminal 2 need to take the free inter-terminal shuttle to the T1 building first, then walk to the tram stop.
Distances to Key Resort Areas
Antalya Airport Parking
Each terminal has its own parking area directly outside. Short-stay zones sit closest to the departure entrances. A multi-storey car park with approximately 2,600 spaces opened as part of the 2025 expansion, representing the first covered multi-level facility in the airport’s history. Short-stay drop-off at the Domestic Terminal is free for the first 15 minutes. Disabled parking spaces with ground-level access are available at all terminals.
Antalya Airport Lounges & Facilities
Terminal 2 carries the majority of lounge and premium retail space following the 2025 expansion. The commercial area in T2 almost tripled to 33,000 square metres, including a 7,500 sqm food and beverage zone operated by the BFA joint venture. The flagship F&B offering is “Taste of Anatolia” by celebrated Turkish chef Ömür Akkor, covering 1,385 sqm and focusing on regional Turkish cuisine with seasonal ingredients.
Antalya Airport Map — Arrivals
Arriving passengers clear passport control at their respective terminal before proceeding to baggage claim on the ground floor. International arrivals at Terminal 2 exit into the arrivals hall on the lower level, where taxis, Uber and private transfer drivers wait. The free inter-terminal shuttle to Terminal 1 (and the AntRay tram) departs from just outside the T2 arrivals exit. Domestic arrivals at the Domestic Terminal exit on the same floor as arrivals, directly beside the AntRay tram stop.
Meeting Arriving Passengers
Meet-and-greet areas are inside the arrivals hall at each terminal. At Terminal 2 they are on the ground floor. Tour operator and transfer representatives typically wait just past the baggage reclaim exit with name boards. Parking for short pick-ups is available directly outside each terminal, free for the first 15 minutes at the Domestic Terminal.
Antalya Airport Map — Departures
Departing passengers must go to the correct terminal building. Check your boarding pass or airline app: the majority of international passengers will be heading to Terminal 2. Charter and seasonal passengers on summer-only routes typically use Terminal 1. All domestic departures use the Domestic Terminal in the same building as T1. Arrive at the departure level on the first floor, check in at the airline counters, then clear security and passport control before reaching the gate area.
Recommended Arrival Times
Allow at least 2 hours before domestic flights and 2.5 to 3 hours before international. During the peak summer months (June to August) the airport is among the busiest in Europe by daily movements. Friday evenings and Saturday mornings are consistently the most congested periods. Check-in desks at Terminal 2 typically close 45 minutes before departure for most carriers.
Insider Tips for Antalya Airport
The single most common mistake at AYT is arriving at the wrong terminal building. Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 look similar on signage but are physically separate. Confirm your terminal before you leave your hotel. The AntRay tram is by far the cheapest way into the city but it only stops at the north building. If you are flying from T2, factor in the shuttle bus and tram transfer: allow at least 60 minutes from T2 to central Antalya. Taxi meters are compulsory for licensed cabs; insist on the meter. Uber is widely available and typically cheaper. The airport is extremely busy on summer evenings when multiple charter flights depart simultaneously, so security can back up even with the expanded facilities. Refer to the Antalya Airport map above to plan your route before you arrive.
