Asia-Pacific Airport Maps — Complete Guide for 2026

The Asia-Pacific region is the world’s largest and fastest-growing aviation market, with three of the global top ten busiest airports by seat capacity. This page covers 80 major airports across East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia and Oceania — each with a detailed terminal map, concourse layout, security checkpoint guide, parking options and ground transportation information, all verified and updated for 2026.

Asia-Pacific airports collectively handled over 3 billion passengers in 2025, with China, Japan, India and Southeast Asia driving most of the growth. Many airports in the region are in the middle of massive expansion programmes, from the new satellite concourse at Singapore Changi (SIN) to the upcoming Long Thanh International Airport near Ho Chi Minh City, the new Navi Mumbai airport that opened in 2025, and Beijing Daxing’s continued ramp-up. Our 2026 maps reflect all of these changes so you always see the most current layout.

Busiest Asia-Pacific Airports by Capacity

Tokyo Haneda (HND) led the Asia-Pacific region in 2025 with 55.4 million scheduled seats, driven by Japan’s enormous domestic market and growing international routes. Shanghai Pudong (PVG) ranked second with 51.1 million seats as China’s primary international gateway, followed by Guangzhou Baiyun (CAN) with 50.2 million. Delhi (DEL) and Beijing Capital (PEK) rounded out the top five, signalling India’s rapid ascent in global aviation rankings.

Major Airline Hubs in the Asia-Pacific

The Asia-Pacific region is home to some of the world’s most celebrated airlines and their mega-hubs. Singapore Airlines operates from Changi Airport (SIN), consistently ranked the world’s best airport. Cathay Pacific is based at Hong Kong (HKG). ANA and Japan Airlines share hubs at Haneda (HND) and Narita (NRT). Korean Air and Asiana Airlines (now merging) use Incheon (ICN). Thai Airways operates from Suvarnabhumi (BKK), while Malaysia Airlines uses KLIA (KUL). Qantas is headquartered at Sydney (SYD), and Air India hubs at Delhi (DEL) and Mumbai (BOM). China’s “Big Three” — Air China, China Eastern and China Southern — operate massive hub networks from Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou respectively.

Each hub airport page on AirportMapHQ shows you exactly which terminals and gates each airline uses, so you know where to go before you arrive.

Asia-Pacific Airports with Recent Terminal Changes in 2026

Singapore Changi (SIN) opened Terminal 2 after a major renovation and is progressing on the Changi East development including the upcoming Terminal 5. Hong Kong (HKG) completed its Three-Runway System and expanded Terminal 1 capacity. India’s Navi Mumbai (NMIA) airport launched in October 2025, serving as Mumbai’s second international hub. Siem Reap (SAI) opened a brand-new international airport replacing the older facility. Jakarta (CGK) continues expanding its Terminal 3 to handle increasing traffic, and Vietnam’s Long Thanh International Airport near Ho Chi Minh City is set to open in late 2026.

Our maps are updated to show these changes — including any temporary construction detours, relocated checkpoints or closed gates. If a terminal or concourse is offline, we note it.

How to Use Our Asia-Pacific Airport Maps

Each airport guide on AirportMapHQ follows the same format for consistency. You will find a bird’s-eye terminal map at the top of the page, followed by sections covering the terminal layout (with level-by-level breakdowns for multi-storey terminals), airline gate assignments by concourse, security checkpoint locations with hours, lounge access (including which credit cards or memberships get you in), dining and shopping highlights, parking options, and every ground transport link including rail, bus, ride-share, taxi and rental cars.

Many Asia-Pacific airports have excellent rail connections — from the Narita Express and Airport Limousine buses in Tokyo, to the Airport Express at Hong Kong, the AREX at Seoul Incheon, the KLIA Ekspres in Kuala Lumpur, and the Delhi Airport Metro Express. Our individual airport pages detail every option with fares, frequencies and journey times.

Navigating Multi-Terminal Airports

Several Asia-Pacific airports have complex multi-terminal layouts that require careful navigation. At Singapore Changi (SIN), four terminals are connected by the free Skytrain monorail, but moving between terminals can take 10–15 minutes. At Narita (NRT), three terminals are served by a free shuttle bus. KLIA (KUL) has two terminals — KLIA and KLIA2 — connected by the KLIA Ekspres train, so you must confirm which terminal your airline uses. Jakarta (CGK) has three terminals spread over a large area with a free Skytrain connecting them. Our maps show every inter-terminal connection, including walk times, train frequencies and whether you need to re-clear security.

Asia-Pacific Airport Security in 2026

Security procedures vary significantly across Asia-Pacific airports. Many airports in Japan, South Korea and Singapore use advanced CT scanners where laptops and liquids can stay in your bag. Indian airports typically have a two-step security process with a pre-boarding stamp system. Chinese airports have strict screening including for checked luggage at check-in. Most Southeast Asian airports conduct security at the gate in addition to the central checkpoint. Our individual airport pages describe the specific screening process at each airport so you know what to expect.

Getting to Asia-Pacific Airports by Public Transit

Tokyo Haneda (HND) has both the Tokyo Monorail and Keikyu Line connecting directly to central Tokyo in under 20 minutes. Hong Kong (HKG) has the Airport Express to Hong Kong Station (24 min). Incheon (ICN) connects via the AREX to Seoul Station (43 min). Changi (SIN) has two MRT lines reaching the CBD in around 30 minutes. KLIA (KUL) offers the KLIA Ekspres to KL Sentral (28 min). Delhi (DEL) has the Airport Express Metro Line to New Delhi Station (20 min). Sydney (SYD) has the T8 Airport Line train to Central Station (13 min). Each airport page details the full range of ground transport options with fares, frequencies and journey times.
