Boise Airport Map & Terminal Guide 2026
One terminal, two concourses, 24 gates. Everything you need to navigate Boise Airport (BOI) — Concourses B and C, security, Boise airport parking, airlines and ground transportation.
Boise Airport Map
The Boise Airport map below shows the full layout of Boise Airport (BOI/KBOI), also known as Boise Air Terminal or Gowen Field. BOI set an all-time passenger record in 2025 with over 5.2 million travellers — the fourth consecutive year breaking its own mark. Eight airlines serve 27 nonstop destinations, with Alaska Airlines, Southwest and Delta operating the most flights.
As the Boise Airport map shows, BOI has a single three-storey terminal with two concourses — Concourse B on the upper level and Concourse C on the lower level. Both sit inside the same secure area and are connected by a short walkway, so you never need to re-clear security to move between them. Study the BOI airport map before you travel to know which concourse and gate your airline uses.

Boise Airport Location Map
Boise Airport is located just 3 miles (5 km) south of downtown Boise in Ada County, Idaho. The Boise Airport location map below shows BOI’s position relative to the city. The airport is accessed via Airport Way from Vista Avenue, connecting to Interstate 84 (east–west corridor) and the surrounding Treasure Valley road network.
Boise Airport Terminal
Boise Airport has a single terminal building — a three-storey structure with a distinctive curved-roof rotunda at its centre. The terminal handles all check-in, security screening, baggage claim and ground transportation. The upper level is for departures (drop-off, ticket counters, security) and the lower level is for arrivals (baggage claim, ground transport pick-up).
Terminal Levels
Boise Airport Security Checkpoint
Boise Airport has one consolidated security checkpoint on the upper (departures) level of the terminal, near the airline ticket counters. The checkpoint includes TSA PreCheck and CLEAR lanes. After clearing security, you enter the secure concourse area with access to both Concourse B and Concourse C.
Boise Airport Concourse B
Concourse B is the main concourse at Boise Airport, located on the upper level with 13 gates and 11 jet bridges. It serves the majority of airlines operating at BOI, including United, Southwest, Delta and American, plus common-use gates for Allegiant, Frontier, Spirit and Sun Country.
Gates B16 and B19 are common-use gates shared by multiple airlines — always check your boarding pass or the flight information screens for your assigned gate. Gates B21a/b and B22a/b each share a single jet bridge between their sub-gates.
Boise Airport Concourse C — Alaska Airlines
Concourse C is on the lower level and serves Alaska Airlines exclusively with 11 gates. Only gates C8a and C12 have jet bridges; the remaining gates use covered walkways, which means a brief outdoor walk to your aircraft. Concourse C is connected to Concourse B via a short indoor walkway — the walk takes under five minutes.
Most Concourse C gates use covered walkways instead of jet bridges, so you will walk outdoors briefly to board your plane. Dress for the weather in winter — Boise temperatures can drop below freezing.
Walking Between Concourses on the Boise Airport Map
Unlike many larger airports, moving between concourses at Boise Airport is simple. Concourses B and C are both inside the same secure area, connected by a short corridor. You do not need to re-clear security to walk between them. The walk from the furthest gate in Concourse B to the furthest gate in Concourse C takes roughly seven to eight minutes. Follow the overhead “Gates B–C” signs to navigate between concourses.
Getting to Boise Airport
Ground transportation services are located on the lower (arrivals) level of the terminal, with colour-coded curbs indicating pick-up zones.
Boise Airport Parking
Pre-book Boise airport parking through the ParkMobile app or at iflyboise.com for reserved spots in the garage.
Boise Airport Map — Arrivals
If you are arriving at Boise Airport or meeting a passenger, the arrivals area is on the lower level of the terminal. After landing, passengers deplane at their gate in Concourse B or C, then walk through the secure area to the terminal. Baggage claim has four carousels on the lower level. From there, exit to the lower-level curbside for taxis (black curb), hotel shuttles (green curb), paid shuttles (blue curb) or ValleyRide buses (purple curb). Ride-share pick-up is on the upper curb, east end — follow signs to the second-floor rotunda exit.
Boise Airport Map — Departures
Departing passengers should enter the terminal on the upper level via the curbside drop-off lane or the parking garage skybridges. Check in at your airline’s ticket counter, then proceed to the consolidated security checkpoint — also on the upper level. After clearing security, follow signs to Concourse B (upper level) or Concourse C (lower level, via walkway).
Recommended Arrival Times
The airport recommends arriving at least 90 minutes before domestic flights, or two hours if parking in the Economy Lot (factor in shuttle time). Check-in counters and bag drop typically close 45–60 minutes before departure. Gate assignments are shown on flight information screens throughout the terminal and on your airline’s app.
Future Concourse A
Boise Airport is planning a major expansion with a new Concourse A on the west side of the terminal. The concourse will add up to 10 new gates, all with jet bridges, and is being designed by Fentress Architects (the firm behind Portland and Nashville airport terminals). Enabling projects — including a new baggage handling system and central utility plant — are set to begin in 2027, with the concourse itself potentially opening around 2030. A new Consolidated Rent-A-Car Center is expected to open in 2026, clearing space for the future concourse’s aircraft apron.
Insider Tips
Boise sits at 2,872 feet elevation — mild compared to mountain airports but still noticeably drier than coastal cities. Stay hydrated. BOI is compact: security to the farthest gate in Concourse C takes about 7–8 minutes. Morning flights (4–7 a.m.) are peak — arrive early if flying out at dawn. If flying Alaska Airlines from Concourse C, expect a short outdoor walk to your plane; dress appropriately in winter. The cell phone lot is at Curtis & Victory, a 5–7 minute drive from the terminal — plan your route before entering the terminal loop. BOI is celebrating its centennial in 2026, marking 100 years since the first commercial airmail flight passed through Boise in 1926.
