Exeter Airport Map
The Exeter Airport map below shows the full layout of Exeter Airport (EXT/EGTE), located at Clyst Honiton in East Devon, approximately 5 miles east of Exeter city centre. Unlike the sprawling multi-terminal airports found in London or Manchester, EXT operates from a single compact terminal building, making it one of the most straightforward airports to navigate in the UK. Passenger numbers reached over 500,000 in 2025, up 28% year on year, and the airport was named the best in the UK by Which? magazine in September 2025, achieving an 80% customer satisfaction score.
As the Exeter Airport map shows, the terminal sits just off the A30 dual carriageway with Car Parks P1 through P4 arranged immediately around it. Eight airlines serve 27 destinations across the UK, Channel Islands, Europe and the wider world via Amsterdam Schiphol. Study the EXT airport map before you travel to understand the compact layout and get your bearings before arrival.

Exeter Airport Terminal
Exeter Airport operates from a single terminal building, making it one of the most stress-free airports in the UK. The terminal is split into two zones: a landside area containing check-in desks, bag drop and a small café, and an airside departures area accessed after clearing security. Because the building is compact, the walk from check-in to any departure gate takes only a matter of minutes. Baggage claim and arrivals are at the opposite end of the same building, with ground transport and car parks directly outside.
Airside Facilities
Once through security, passengers have access to a selection of food and drink outlets, retail shops and the Executive Lounge. Moorland Kitchen and Coastline Café serve hot food, sandwiches and drinks throughout the day. WHSmith carries books, snacks and travel essentials, and World Duty Free offers perfume, cosmetics, spirits and confectionery. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the terminal on the Virgin WiFi network, with 60 minutes free and further time available at a charge.
Exeter Airport Executive Lounge
The Executive Lounge is the only dedicated airport lounge at Exeter and is located airside on the first floor, above the main restaurant area. It offers runway views, a quiet atmosphere, comfortable seating, unlimited tea, coffee and soft drinks, light snacks and free Wi-Fi. The lounge is open from the first check-in of the day until the last departure. There are no shower facilities. Access is open to all passengers and does not require a premium airline ticket.
Airlines at Exeter Airport
Eight airlines operate scheduled services from Exeter Airport in 2026. Because EXT uses a single terminal with no separate concourses, all airlines share the same check-in hall and depart from the same airside gate area. Check-in requirements and specific gate assignments vary by airline and are displayed on the flight information screens in the terminal.
KLM launched daily Exeter to Amsterdam Schiphol flights in March 2025, the first time the route had operated in five years. Via Amsterdam, passengers can connect to over 160 destinations across North America, Asia and Africa, making this route the most significant international connection from EXT.
Ryanair has increased frequencies on popular routes including Málaga for 2026. Alicante and Málaga operate year-round, making them the most consistent sun routes from EXT.
TUI doubled its Exeter operation in 2025 by basing a second aircraft at EXT. For 2026, the airline has added Kos as a new direct destination. All TUI services are leisure and package flights; passengers typically check in via the TUI app or website before arrival.
Loganair restored the Exeter to Manchester route in October 2025 after a gap of more than five years. Manchester and Edinburgh both offer onward connections to a wide domestic and international network without requiring a trip to Heathrow or Gatwick.
Operated by Emerald Airlines under the Aer Lingus Regional brand. The Dublin service is notable because passengers connecting to the United States can clear US Customs and Border Protection at Dublin Airport before departure, arriving at US airports as domestic passengers. Check current schedules directly with Aer Lingus as frequencies vary by season.
Aurigny connects Exeter to Guernsey on a year-round basis. Skybus operates small aircraft to St Mary’s on the Isles of Scilly from late March through October, making Exeter one of the primary mainland departure points for the islands.
Getting to Exeter Airport
All passenger transport for arrivals and departures uses the same terminal approach road and car park access off the A30. There is no separate international arrivals building or satellite terminal. Ground transport options are straightforward given the airport’s compact layout.
Exeter Airport Parking
Exeter Airport has four official car parks, all carrying the Park Mark accreditation for safety and security. Pre-booking online offers savings of up to 70% compared with drive-up rates and guarantees a space. For pick-up and drop-off, Car Park P4 offers up to 30 minutes free, while P1 is closest to the terminal entrance for passengers with heavy luggage or reduced mobility.

Exeter Airport Map — Arrivals
Arriving passengers deplane on the apron and walk or board a bus to the terminal building. All arrivals, whether domestic or from Europe and the Channel Islands, enter through the same arrivals hall and collect bags from the baggage reclaim area. There are no separate customs channels for most EU and European flights as Exeter handles standard UK border processing. Passengers arriving on flights that require passport control pass through the appropriate desk before reaching the baggage carousel and exit.
Ground Transport from Arrivals
Taxis and pre-booked cars collect from the designated area directly outside the terminal. The Stagecoach 4A bus stop is a short walk from the main exit. Car hire desks are inside the terminal and vehicles are collected from the adjacent compound. Car Park P1, the closest to the terminal entrance, is directly opposite the main doors.
Exeter Airport Map — Departures
Departing passengers should report to the check-in desk for their airline in the main hall. Most airlines require check-in at least 2 hours before departure, though some such as Ryanair enforce strict online check-in requirements so passengers should arrive at the airport with a boarding pass already downloaded. After check-in, proceed to the single security checkpoint and into the airside departures area for shops, food, the lounge and your departure gate.
Recommended Check-in Times
Arrive at the terminal at least 90 minutes before a domestic departure and 2 hours before European and international flights. Gate assignments are shown on the flight information screens in the departures area and on your airline’s app. Gates are a short walk from security, so even passengers who linger over coffee in the departures area will reach their gate with time to spare.
Insider Tips
Exeter Airport is genuinely one of the easiest airports to use in the UK. The terminal is compact: check-in to gate takes around 10 minutes under normal conditions. Car parks P1 and P2 are close enough that passengers with heavy bags can walk without needing a trolley. For drop-off or pick-up, P4 is free for 30 minutes and is the easiest option. The Stagecoach 4A bus is good value for those travelling light from the city centre or St Davids station. Book the Executive Lounge in advance if you want a quiet space before a morning flight. Study the Exeter Airport map above to understand the car park layout and terminal access roads before you arrive.
