Jacksonville Airport Map & Terminal Guide 2026
One terminal, two concourses (plus a third opening late 2026), 20 gates. Everything you need to navigate Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) — Concourses A, B and C, security, parking and ground transport.
Jacksonville Airport Map
The Jacksonville Airport map below shows the full layout of Jacksonville International Airport (JAX/KJAX). JAX set an all-time passenger record in 2024 with over 7.6 million travellers, and continued to break monthly records into 2025. It is a growing hub for Delta, American, Southwest and United, with 11 airlines serving over 68 nonstop destinations across the U.S. and Canada.
As you can see on the Jacksonville Airport map, the layout is compact and straightforward: one terminal building with ticketing upstairs, baggage claim downstairs, and a central security checkpoint leading to two concourses (A and C) on either side. A third concourse (B) is under construction between them and opens in December 2026. Study the JAX airport map before you travel to confirm your concourse.

Jacksonville Airport Terminal
Jacksonville International Airport has a single terminal building that handles everything — ticketing, security, baggage claim and ground transportation. The terminal is divided into an upper departures level and a lower arrivals level, with a mezzanine in between that houses shops, restaurants, art galleries and the central security checkpoint.
Terminal Levels
Jacksonville Airport Security Checkpoint
JAX has a single centralized security checkpoint on the mezzanine level, located between the ticketing area and the two concourses. This one checkpoint serves all passengers regardless of concourse. TSA PreCheck lanes are available for eligible travellers. Security at JAX is known for moving quickly — the compact size keeps queues short even during peak periods.
Jacksonville Airport Concourse A
Concourse A is on the north side of the terminal, accessible to the left after clearing security. As shown on the Jacksonville Airport map, it houses 10 gates (A1–A10) and is home to Delta, JetBlue, Sun Country and United.
Delta operates the bulk of traffic on Concourse A, with its Sky Club lounge near Gate A5 offering food, beverages and airfield views. The concourse is a short, easy walk from the security checkpoint.
Jacksonville Airport Concourse B — Opening December 2026
Concourse B is a brand-new third concourse under construction between Concourses A and C. The 165,000-square-foot structure will add six gates when it opens in December 2026, with the ability to expand to 10 gates in the future. American Airlines will operate all six initial gates.
The $300 million project includes three levels: gates on the main level, restaurants and concessions on the second floor, and the Delta Sky Club and Jax Club lounge on the third floor. A connector bridge links the new concourse to the existing terminal.
Jacksonville Airport Concourse C
Concourse C is on the south side of the terminal, accessible to the right after clearing security. It houses 10 gates (C1–C10) and serves a mix of domestic carriers including Southwest, American, Allegiant, Breeze and others.
Southwest operates the most gates on Concourse C (C1–C4), while American Airlines and other carriers use C5–C10. Air Canada provides seasonal nonstop service to Toronto from this concourse.
Walking Between Concourses on the Jacksonville Airport Map
One of the best features of Jacksonville Airport is how easy it is to move between concourses. Unlike larger airports, both Concourses A and C are within a short walk of each other through the central airside area — no shuttle, train or tram is needed. After clearing the single security checkpoint, simply walk left for Concourse A or right for Concourse C. The walk between the two far ends of the airport takes roughly 10 minutes.
Connection Times
If you have a connecting flight that moves you between Concourse A and Concourse C, you do not need to re-clear security. Simply walk through the central airside food court area to reach your new gate. Allow at least 30 minutes for connections to be safe, though the walk itself is only 5–10 minutes. When Concourse B opens in late 2026, it will be accessed from the intersection of the existing concourses via a connector bridge.
Getting to Jacksonville Airport
All ground transportation picks up and drops off on the lower (arrivals) level of the terminal. Taxis, ride-shares and shuttle services are located outside baggage claim.

Jacksonville Airport Map — Arrivals
If you are arriving at Jacksonville Airport or meeting a passenger, the arrivals area is on the lower level of the terminal. After deplaning, passengers walk from their concourse back through the central airside area, pass the security exit and proceed downstairs to baggage claim. Carousels are located on both sides of the lower level.
Ground Transportation from Arrivals
From baggage claim, exit through the lower-level doors to reach taxis, ride-shares (Uber/Lyft at the arrival curb outside Baggage Claim), shuttle services, JTA bus Route 1, and hotel shuttle pick-up on the north upper-level departure curb. Rental car counters from Alamo, Enterprise, Hertz, National and others are inside the baggage claim area. If picking someone up by car, use the free cell phone waiting lot and collect your passenger from the lower-level curb.
Jacksonville Airport Map — Departures
Departing passengers should enter the terminal on the upper level via curbside drop-off or the parking garage walkways. Check in at your airline’s ticket counter, then proceed to the mezzanine level where the central security checkpoint is located. After clearing security, walk left to Concourse A or right to Concourse C, depending on your gate assignment.
Recommended Arrival Times
Arrive at least 90 minutes before domestic flights and two hours before international flights. Check-in counters typically close 45–60 minutes before departure. Gate assignments are displayed on flight information screens throughout the terminal and on your airline’s app. Security at JAX moves fast, but early-morning and holiday periods can see longer queues.
Insider Tips
Jacksonville’s humidity can hit hard — stay hydrated before and during your flight. Arrive 90+ minutes before domestic departures. Peak security: early mornings (5–7 a.m.) and holiday weekends. Refer to the Jacksonville Airport map above to confirm your concourse. The PGA Tour shop before security is worth a browse for unique golf-themed gifts. Parking in the Economy Lots saves significantly on longer trips — the free shuttle runs 24/7 every 15 minutes. If you’re heading to Amelia Island or St. Augustine, pre-book a shuttle to avoid the hassle of renting a car.
