LaGuardia Airport Map & Terminal Guide 2026
Three terminals, 72 gates, zero rail link. Everything you need to navigate LaGuardia Airport (LGA) — Terminals A, B and C, security checkpoints, parking, the free Q70 bus to the subway and ground transport to Manhattan.
LaGuardia Airport Map
The LaGuardia Airport map below shows the full layout of LaGuardia Airport (LGA/KLGA) in Queens, New York City. After an $8 billion redevelopment — completed in January 2025 — LGA has been transformed from one of the most criticised airports in the United States into an award-winning facility, named best U.S. airport by Forbes Travel Guide in both 2024 and 2025.
As you can see on the LaGuardia Airport map, the layout consists of three separate terminals (A, B and C) arranged along the Grand Central Parkway. Each terminal has its own entrance, check-in, security checkpoint and gates. A free shuttle bus connects all three. LGA handled 32.8 million passengers in 2025 and is primarily a domestic airport — a hub for Delta Air Lines and American Airlines, with about 10 carriers serving 92 destinations.

LaGuardia Airport Location Map
LaGuardia Airport is located in East Elmhurst, Queens — just 8 miles (13 km) east of Midtown Manhattan. It is the closest of the three New York-area airports to the city centre. The LaGuardia Airport location map below shows LGA’s position on the shore of Flushing Bay, bordered by the Grand Central Parkway to the south and Bowery Bay to the north.
LaGuardia Airport Terminal A — Marine Air Terminal
LaGuardia Airport Terminal A is the historic Marine Air Terminal, an Art Deco landmark built in 1939 for Pan Am’s flying boats. Located at the western end of the airport, it operates separately from Terminals B and C with its own entrance, drop-off and parking. As shown on the LaGuardia Airport map, Terminal A sits apart from the other terminals and is only reachable by the free shuttle bus or by road.
The terminal’s interior features the famous 12-foot-high, 237-foot-long “Flight” mural by James Brooks. Terminal A has one level for all operations: check-in, security, gates and baggage claim. The Q70 bus does not stop at Terminal A — use the free inter-terminal shuttle to Terminal B for the Q70.
LaGuardia Airport Terminal B
LaGuardia Airport Terminal B is the largest terminal at LGA and the main hub for domestic carriers other than Delta. The $5.1 billion redevelopment — completed in 2022 — created a modern four-level headhouse connected to two island concourses (Western and Eastern) via elevated pedestrian bridges above active taxiways. Terminal B earned the Skytrax World’s Best New Airport Terminal award in 2023 and holds a 5-Star Skytrax rating.
Terminal B handled roughly 18 million passengers in 2024. It features a 16-lane centralized TSA checkpoint on Level 3, 105 self-service kiosks and nine baggage claim carousels. After security, ride the escalator to Level 4 for dining and shopping, then cross the sky bridges to your concourse.
LaGuardia Airport Terminal C — Delta Air Lines Hub
LaGuardia Airport Terminal C is Delta’s exclusive hub — a $4 billion, 1.3-million-square-foot facility that consolidated the former Terminals C and D. Delta operates over 220 daily departures from Terminal C, making it the busiest single-airline operation at LGA. The terminal was completed in phases from 2022 to 2024.
Terminal C handled 13.3 million passengers in 2024. All four concourses are connected airside, so you can walk freely between gates without re-clearing security. The terminal features hands-free bag drop, digital ID screening at security and dual taxi lanes for faster aircraft turnaround.
LaGuardia Airport Security Checkpoints
Each of LaGuardia’s three terminals has its own security checkpoint. You must clear security in the terminal your airline uses — there is no way to walk between terminals after security (though Terminal C’s four concourses are connected airside).
Getting Between Terminals at LaGuardia
Unlike airports with a single security zone, LaGuardia’s three terminals are separate buildings. You cannot walk between them after security. A free shuttle bus runs between all three terminals every 8–15 minutes, 24 hours a day. Pedestrian walkways also connect Terminal B and Terminal C on the landside.
Getting to LaGuardia Airport
LaGuardia has no direct rail connection. Public transit relies on MTA bus services that connect to the subway and Long Island Rail Road. All bus stops and taxi stands are at the terminal curbside.
LaGuardia Airport Parking
Each terminal has its own parking garage. On-site rates vary by terminal. Pre-book at laguardiaairport.com for availability updates.
LaGuardia Airport Map — Arrivals
If you are arriving at LaGuardia Airport or meeting a passenger, all arrivals flow through the terminal your flight uses. After deplaning, follow signs to baggage claim: Level 2 in Terminal B, Level 1 in Terminal C, or the single level in Terminal A. International arrivals (Air Canada flights from Toronto and Montreal) arrive at Terminal B.
Ground Transportation from Arrivals
Exit the terminal at curbside to find taxi stands, ride-share pick-up zones and MTA bus stops. The free Q70 LaGuardia Link bus departs from Terminals B and C for the subway connection at Jackson Heights. The M60 SBS bus stops at all three terminals and runs to Harlem and Upper Manhattan. If picking someone up by car, use the free cell phone waiting lot on 94th Street and collect your passenger at the curbside pick-up lane.
LaGuardia Airport Map — Departures
Departing passengers should follow the roadway signs to their specific terminal. Each terminal has its own curbside drop-off. At Terminal B, drop-off is on Level 3 near check-in and security. Terminal C offers a direct-to-security drop-off option in addition to the standard check-in drop-off. At Terminal A, drop-off is at the single terminal entrance.
Recommended Arrival Times
Arrive at least 90 minutes before domestic flights and two hours before international flights. Traffic on the Grand Central Parkway is unpredictable, especially during the 7–9 a.m. and 3–6 p.m. peaks — allow extra time. Check-in counters and bag drop typically close 45 minutes before departure at all terminals.
Insider Tips
LaGuardia is the closest NYC airport to Manhattan, but traffic can be brutal — always check Google Maps before leaving. The Q70 bus is genuinely the best budget option and runs with luggage racks. Terminal B’s Level 4 food hall is excellent (try Shake Shack or Bowery Bay Tavern). In Terminal C, Delta’s Sky Club is the airline’s largest at 34,000 square feet with an outdoor Sky Deck. LGA operates under the FAA perimeter rule, meaning most nonstop flights are restricted to destinations within 1,500 miles — for longer flights, you’ll need JFK or Newark. Refer to the LaGuardia Airport map above to confirm which terminal your airline uses before heading to the airport.
