Las Vegas Airport Map
The Las Vegas Airport map below shows the full layout of Harry Reid International Airport (LAS/KLAS) — formerly known as McCarran International Airport, renamed in December 2021. LAS set an all-time passenger record in 2024 with 58.4 million travellers, making it one of the top ten busiest airports in the United States. It is an operating base for Southwest Airlines, Allegiant Air, Frontier Airlines and Spirit Airlines, with 30+ carriers serving over 150 destinations worldwide.
As you can see on the Las Vegas Airport map, the layout centres on two separate terminal buildings: Terminal 1 (with Concourses A, B and C) and Terminal 3 (with Concourse E). Concourse D sits between them as a satellite building, reachable by automated tram from either terminal. There is no Terminal 2 — it was demolished in 2012. Study the LAS airport map before you travel so you know which terminal and concourse your airline uses.

Las Vegas Airport Location Map
Harry Reid International Airport is located approximately 5 miles (8 km) south of downtown Las Vegas, in the unincorporated community of Paradise, Nevada. The Las Vegas Airport location map below shows LAS’s position relative to the Las Vegas Strip and surrounding road network. The airport is accessed via Paradise Road from the north and the Harry Reid Airport Connector (branching off the Las Vegas Beltway / I-215) from the south. Interstate 15 connects to the Strip and downtown.
Las Vegas Airport Terminals Overview
Harry Reid International Airport has two main terminal buildings — Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 — plus a satellite Concourse D between them. The two terminals are not physically connected landside, so it is essential to confirm your correct terminal before arriving at the airport. A free shuttle bus runs between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 outside the secure area every 20–30 minutes from Level 0.

Las Vegas Airport Security Checkpoints
Las Vegas Airport has five security checkpoints across its two terminals. All checkpoints offer TSA PreCheck lanes. CLEAR is available at Terminal 1 checkpoints and at the Terminal 3 D/E checkpoint.
Automated Tram System (People Mover)
Las Vegas Airport Concourse A — Gates A3–A23
Concourse A is at the east end of Terminal 1, accessed on foot after clearing the A/B security checkpoint. It has 16 gates and is primarily used by Allegiant Air and Spirit Airlines.
Walkable to B and C gates on foot. Take the Blue Line tram to reach D gates, or the Red Line onward to Terminal 3 / E gates.
Las Vegas Airport Concourse B — Gates B1–B25
Concourse B is adjacent to Concourse A in Terminal 1, with 17 gates serving a mix of low-cost and major carriers. Southwest Airlines uses several B gates alongside Allegiant and Spirit.
Walkable to A gates (right) and C gates (left). Connected to D and E gates via tram only.
Las Vegas Airport Concourse C — Southwest Airlines Hub
Concourse C is the primary hub for Southwest Airlines at Las Vegas Airport, with 19 gates in a long, straight configuration. It is reachable on foot from the A/B area or via the Green Line tram from Terminal 1’s esplanade.
The largest concourse in Terminal 1 by dining and shopping options. Walk north to reach A/B gates, or take the Blue Line tram to D gates.
Las Vegas Airport Concourse D — Satellite Hub
Concourse D is the largest concourse at LAS with 44 gates in four wings, serving most major domestic and several international airlines. It is a standalone satellite building accessible only by tram — the Blue Line from Terminal 1 or the Red Line from Terminal 3.
Four wings: SE (D1–D14), NE (D16–D26), SW (D32–D43) and NW (D50–D59). Allow extra time — the concourse is large and tram-only access adds minutes. Children’s play area on the upper level.
Las Vegas Airport Concourse E — Terminal 3 / International
Concourse E is inside Terminal 3 and handles most international flights as well as some domestic services. It has 14 gates and connects to Concourse D via the Red Line tram. International arrivals clear customs and immigration in Terminal 3 before exiting.
Some airlines (e.g. Hawaiian, Frontier, Air Canada) check in at Terminal 3 and use the Red Line tram to reach D gates for departure. Always verify your gate assignment.
Walking Between Concourses on the Las Vegas Airport Map
Within Terminal 1, Concourses A, B and C are connected on foot inside the secure area. You can walk between the A/B gates and C gates via a corridor at the north end of Concourse C. However, Concourse D and Concourse E (Terminal 3) are only reachable by the automated tram system. You cannot walk to D or E gates from A, B or C.
Connection Times Between Concourses
Walking from the A gates to the far end of the C gates takes approximately 10–15 minutes. The Blue Line tram from Terminal 1 to Concourse D takes about 3–4 minutes, and the Red Line from Concourse D to Terminal 3 (E gates) takes another 2–3 minutes. If connecting between terminals outside security, the shuttle bus from Level 0 runs every 20–30 minutes and takes 10–15 minutes. You must re-clear security if using the shuttle. Inside security, the tram keeps you airside — no need to re-screen. Allow at least 30–45 minutes for connections between far-end gates in different concourses.

Las Vegas Airport Map — Arrivals
If you are arriving at Las Vegas Airport or meeting a passenger, arrivals are on Level 1 of Terminal 1 and the lower level of Terminal 3. After landing, domestic passengers take the tram back to their terminal (if departing from D gates) and proceed to baggage claim. International arrivals clear U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Terminal 3 before collecting luggage and exiting.
Ground Transportation from Arrivals
Taxis queue outside baggage claim exits 1–4 at Terminal 1, and at Level 0 outside door 52 at Terminal 3. Ride-share pick-up is on Level 2 of the Terminal 1 parking garage and at the valet level of the Terminal 3 garage. RTC buses and the rental car shuttle depart from Level 0 at both terminals. If picking someone up by car, use the free cell phone waiting lot and collect your passenger from the curbside lanes.
Las Vegas Airport Map — Departures
Departing passengers should enter their correct terminal: Terminal 1 for airlines using A, B, C or D gates (check in at Terminal 1, clear security, then take the tram to D if needed), or Terminal 3 for airlines using E gates (and some D-gate airlines that check in at T3, like Hawaiian and some Frontier flights). After clearing security, proceed to your gate on foot (A/B/C) or board the tram (to D or E gates).
Recommended Arrival Times
Arrive at least 90 minutes before domestic flights and two hours before international flights. During major Las Vegas events (CES, SEMA, UFC fight weeks, F1 Grand Prix), add an extra 30–60 minutes. Check-in counters and bag drop desks typically close 45–60 minutes before departure. Baggage carts cannot be taken through security or onto the trams.
Insider Tips
Las Vegas sits in the Mojave Desert — summer temperatures regularly exceed 110 °F (43 °C). Stay hydrated, especially after a flight. The airport is one of only two in the U.S. with legal slot machines (the other is Reno), so you’ll find them at every concourse. Refer to the Las Vegas Airport map above to plan your route. Terminal 3’s parking garage ($21/day) is cheaper than Terminal 1’s ($28/day) — worth noting for long trips. If you have a long layover, all concourses are connected airside via the tram, so you can explore dining and shops across the airport without re-clearing security.
